This week we were introduced to collaborative communities which is where there is a page on a specific topic which everyone has access to and can put their own input. You do this by going onto the page and writing/posting what you feel is appropriate to the the topic and click save. After doing this everyone is able to see the new information you have added to it. Also, after doing this others are also able to access the page and either edit the information you have written or add some extra information to it.
The good points about wiki is that you have many facts and opinions from all different sources from all around the world; you can have a wiki page on any topic you like; you can edit and add information to a page as many times as you want. However the bad points about wiki is that you cant be positive where the information is from and therefore the source and information isnt reliable enough to be confirmed as facts; anyone can edit or change information; its not positive when the information was written.

week 4: reflective learning
What I have learnt about reflective learning is that to reflect it involves thinking over a task and considering what you learnt, how you learnt it and what you use to learn it. For example, this week we learnt about the topic reflective learning through using a mind-map online. Doing this task I have learnt not only about reflective learning but also using the mind-mapping method on the computer.
Through doing reflective learning you also look at what parts of the learning process you found easy and what parts you found difficult. This week I found it difficult creating a mind-map online as I havent done it before. However, I found summarising reflective learning quite easy as we did it as a group so that we all had input on the idea of what reflective learning involves. By looking at what you found difficult or easy you are able to find out what your strengthes or weaknesses are while learning and therefore can focus on them more.
Finally, I now know too that reflective learning is a good way to check your overall learning experience.
